Leo du Feu

Leo du Feu Leo is a Scottish artist, a painter of landscape and nature, born in Edinburgh. He studied Drawing and Painting at Edinburgh College of Art graduating in 2006. He works full-time at his art, exhibiting around the country and undertaking commissions, workshops and tutoring.

Two books of Leo's art and travel & nature writings are published as Sketches From Canada and Landscapes & Birds of Scotland, an Artist's View. He gives talks on these subjects and about his ongoing ScotRail-supported project to explore Scotland by rail. His journeys and observations are documented in his blog posts online at www.landscapeartnaturebirds.blogspot.co.uk

Leo tutors and runs workshops for local authorities and for individuals and private and public groups. He regularly provides workshops for Scottish charity Art in Healthcare, including at the Sick Kids Hospital in Edinburgh and at a school for children with autism and severe learning difficulties. He is on Art in Healthcare's Arts Advisory Panel, responsible for decisions regarding their extensive collection of Scottish artworks.

As well as being a major focus of his artistic practice, birds (and all nature) are the main inspirations and interests in Leo's personal life. He undertakes volunteer bird counting and campaigning for RSPB and British Trust for Ornithology (BTO).
