As part of the ongoing celebrations of 20 years of Gallery Q in Dundee, this mixed exhibition looks back at the history of the gallery and forward to the future by bringing together long-standing gallery artists and new faces from across the UK.
Some of those who have been part of the ongoing history of the gallery, and included in the exhibition, are painters: Francis Boag, Catriona Millar, John Lowrie Morrison, Claire Harkess and George Gilbert; glassmakers Kim Bramley, Graham Muir and Mike Hunter; and ceramic sculptors Helen Kemp and Hilke MacIntytre.
The featured artist is Matthew Snowden who is new to the gallery and, despite painting pictures of the Scottish landscape for many years, has never exhibited his work in Scotland before. Other new artists for Gallery Q include painters: Dionne Sievewright, Nikki Monaghan and Peter Kettle; ceramics by well-known ceramic sculptor Meri Wells, Wendy Lawrence and Mark Smith.
