Lynn Baxter
Lynn’s artworks are wide ranging in style and subject matter. For Gallery Q she is showing painterly works in acrylics, including a floral still life and topographical and birdlife subjects.
She received a 1st class BA Hons in Fine Art in 2009 at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art, after studying for an HNC at Dundee College. During her studies she received the Pat Holmes Prize for best performance in foundation year and, at graduation, the Alastair Smart Memorial Prize for Sculpture.
Lynn lived at Newport on Tay, working in the arts, at Dundee Repertory Theatre and as Principal Arts Officer for Perth and Kinross, as well as being Administrator and commissioner of the public art programme for that region, through the Perthshire Public Art Trust. She now lives and works in Somerset.
Lynn has exhibited widely, in commercial galleries and public museums, as well as with local artists throughout Scotland in particular.
