Born in 1974, Nichola Martin is a Scottish artist living in Fife.
She has a BA Hons Degree in Fine Art having studied Drawing and Painting at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design, Dundee.
Whilst at art school Nichola was awarded the John Kinross Scholarship which enabled her to study in Florence, Italy and also won the Scottish Education Unit prize both awarded from the Royal Scottish Academy.
A skilled draughtsman she prefers to work in charcoal or oil and she is highly sought after for paintings requiring a high level of technical detail, including a commission for John Le Carre of all of his published books.
Her work is highly regarded and is held in worldwide collections.
