Catriona Millar’s work is much loved by Gallery Q regulars as well as clients further afield. Her colourful paintings are filled with texture and pattern while capturing the simplicity and intimacy of a fleeting moment, sometimes of fun, sometimes of love, but always connecting with her audience
Julie Parker is exhibiting at the gallery for the first time. She works in a range of media including acrylics, oils, charcoal and mixed-media. Her paintings are colourful and lively with emphasis on subtle physicality of the pictorial surface and expressive use of light and shade. Broad themes of transience and dislocation emerge through a playful synthesis of visual components: familiar figurative elements and everyday things are immersed in illogical abstracted spaces.
