This is an exciting exhibition examining many different artistic approaches to representing the human figure. It had been our desperate hope that this show would have been available to view in the gallery but sadly this cannot be so we hope you enjoy viewing the work online.
Of the 20 painters and sculptors exhibiting, over half are new to Gallery Q Dundee and we are delighted that they wanted to take part in this special show. Each one brings their own particular interpretation, uniquely expressed in their chosen medium.
No figurative exhibition would be complete without regular gallery artists such as George Donald, Catriona Millar, June Carey and Karen Strang plus recent newcomer John Martin Fulton. Of the new artists we are delighted to be able to include a work by Stephen Mangan, while Iain Holman brings a fresh modern approach along with the Carl Chapple’s dynamic studies of ballet dancers in rehearsals. Sculptor Frances Clark’s work is very powerful yet detailed. Pratima Kramer brings a taste of India in her beautiful figures. It’s impossible to mention everyone so please look through the exhibition web page and enjoy discovering the artists for yourselves.
If you want to know more about an artist: click on the work and then click on their name on the new page showing the work.
If you wish to view a work, please allow a few days so that we can bring the work into the gallery.
